About Bao Tang Quan Doi

The Bao Tang Quan Doi, also called the Army Museum or Vietnam Military History Museum, is a museum in Hanoi. It chronicles Vietnam's numerous battles to stay independent. The museum showcases the struggle of the Vietnamese people for unification against French and American forces.

Bao Tang Quan Doi is located on Duong dien Bien Phu Street on the west side of Hanoi. On the opposite side of the street from it is the Lenin Statue while next to it is the remains of the Hanoi Citadel with the Cot Co flag tower.

Getting there

Using the Ho Hoan Kiem as your starting point, walk west along Hang Khay, which changes name to Trang Thi after a while. When you reach a split in the road take Dien Bien Phu Street, crossing the railway track. Continue walking until you see the Army Museum on your right, and the triangular park with the Statue of Lenin on your left. Bao Tang Quan Doi is just behind the Army Museum.
