About Lenin Statue

The Lenin Statue, or Lenin Monument, is a monument to the Soviet leader at the triangular playground called Lenin Park on Duong Dien Bien Phu Street. It faces the Army Museum. Most of the local people in the park appeared to ignore the statue. It is probably one of the world's few standing reminders of the Russian revolution, which today has been erased from Russia itself.

Getting there

Using the Ho Hoan Kiem as the starting point, walk west along Hang Khay. Eventually the road changes name to Trang Thi. When you reach a split, take the right branch which is called Dien Bien Phu Street. Cross the railway track and continue on until you see the Army Museum on your right, and the triangular park on your left. The Lenin statue is quite visible on the park.
